GT StoneWorks provides premium quality fabrication and installation of all natural & manufactured stone products. With over 25 years of experience, our team specializes in creating high-end custom designs, keeping both beauty and functionality in mind. Our scope of work includes, but not limited to, countertops, full height back splashes, tables, benches, tub decks, shower walls, and fireplaces. We also offer services such as sink re-attachments/replacements, coring holes for new fixtures, chip repairs, and cooktop enlargements.
When you call into GT we will briefly go over the scope of work with you and where you're at in the process. From there we will determine the following steps needed to take for us to schedule a template date. The key items needed before we can set a template date are the cabinets need to be installed, material needs to be selected, and all accessories (appliances, sinks, fixtures) are selected. The templator will need these to do his measuring and drawings.
On the date of template a GT engineer will come out to the job site and take measurements of the entire project. We use high-precision laser measuring equipment that allow us to cut the pieces for a perfect fit and seamless transitions. After the measuring is done, the templator is done on site. He will take the laser drawing back with him to clean up the layout and make the necessary adjustments. This includes taking the templates for the appliances and fixtures and incorporating them into the drawing. On more complex projects we will work thoroughly with you by going over your goals, and the best avenues of approach for them to ensure the end product exceeds expectations.
The fabrication process involves taking the slab(s) you have purchased, and turning them into the final product that will go into your home. Having recently moved into a new facility we are equipped with the latest technology in brand new equipment, improving the accuracy, quality, and consistency of each and every piece. Once the shop receives the finalized drawings of the job, they will take it and program our CNC saw-jet to start cutting the slab. From there the pieces go through a polishing machine that turns the saw cut edges into a finished edge. The last step in the fabrication process is done by hand. Our fabricators will finish up all polishing needed to be done, prepare the sinks and all seams for attachment, and do final touch-ups and necessary sealing.
On the day of install we ask that the work-site is prepared with the tops of cabinets cleared, work area free of clutter, and a cleared path from the truck to the work area. This is to ensure the install is successful in keeping both our installers and your new countertops safe. We have a very experienced install team that specialize in custom stone-works and excel with complex projects. They take pride in their work and carry the same care, quality, and professionalism to every single project.
