Every slab is unique. We help you see the movement in the stone and plan the layout so the veining flows across seams and edges.

The process
From first call to final polish.
Consultation
Call us to talk through your project and where it stands. We’ll discuss the stone, the design and the timeline.
Before templating, cabinets should be installed, the stone selected, and appliances, sinks and fixtures chosen.
Template & design
We measure your space with laser equipment. Our templator then refines the layout and adds templates for each appliance and fixture. For complex designs, we review the details with you.
Fabrication
Slabs are cut on a CNC saw-jet from the final drawings, and edges are machine polished. Our fabricators finish each piece by hand, prepare sinks and seams, and seal the stone.
Installation
Our experienced install team sets every piece with care, including complex custom work.
Before install day, clear the cabinet tops and work area, and leave a clear path from the driveway.
Our story
GT StoneWorks began with Todd, who moved to Austin in the early 1990s, met his wife, Shari, and spent more than two decades with one of the city’s few countertop companies, mastering the craft as Austin grew around him.
In 2016 he set out on his own, founding GT StoneWorks to build something great for his family. Today it is a true family business: Todd’s son, Garrett, a Texas State University business management graduate, now plays a large role in the company. After more than thirty years in stone, our standard hasn’t changed. Every project is measured by how it looks and performs for years to come.
